CMS Experiment at CERN
Our research group was actively involved in the CMS Collaboration from 2000-2015. The main research focus in data analysis was on the search for the Higgs Boson and for supersymmetric particles. The Higgs boson was discovered in proton-proton collsions inside the CMS detector in 2012 [1].
In detector construction, we played a leading role in building the CMS silicon strip detector. The tracker endcaps with their sub-structures have been developed by our group and built in a world-wide effort involving research groups from Europe and the US.
